Competed in the Pac-10 Doubles Invitational with Melissa Esmero and the pair advanced to the finals before falling to Stanford's Story Tweedie-Yates and Theresa Logar for the title... Played most doubles dual matches with partner Judy DeVera... The pair collected a team-best 11-2 overall and dual match record at the No. 3 spot... Also played doubles matches with Anca Anastasiu (0-2), Melissa Esmero (4-3), Erin Everly (0-1) and Erica Sauer (0-1)... Collected a 7-4 singles record during the fall season and advanced to the semifinals of the Palm Springs Fall Desert Classic and Cal State Fullerton Fall Classic.

    Due to the depth on the squad, Bernadette Bayani played a limited amount of matches during the 2003 season among the lineup's top six... She finished the year with an 8-8 overall record, 2-1 mark in dual matches and 0-1 in the Pac-10... In doubles, she compiled a 6-3 overall record with Melissa Esmero and a 2-1 record in dual matches... Only played three dual matches for the Women of Troy, but topped off her season by capturing the 2003 Pac-10 Invitational Doubles Championship with Esmero in April... In the fall, Bayani posted a 2-5 record and competed at the ITA Pre-Qualifier, Omni Regional Championships and Fall Desert Classic... In January she reached the finals of the Flight #3 Pac-10 Indoor Championships, but fell to Cal's Brooke Borishoff for the title.

    Bayani collected a 13-9 overall singles record in 2002 ... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Regional Championships before falling to eventual champion and USC teammate Jewel Peterson ... Had an outstanding tournament performance at the Pac-10 Indoor Championships (Flight III) in January where she advanced to the finals before falling to UCLA's Lauren Fisher, 6-1, 6-1 ... Played 12 dual matches during the season (went 1-0 at No. 5 and 6-5 at No. 6) and posted a 7-5 overall record ... Finished with a 19-13 overall doubles record ... Went 7-5 with partner Maureen Diaz and advanced to the finals of the Pac-10 Indoor Championships and the quarterfinals of the ITA Regional Championships ... Played most dual matches with partner Melissa Esmero and posted an 11-8 record at the No. 3 position ... The pair also advanced to the second round of the Pac-10 Invitational.

    Bayani went 18-21 in her first season at USC in singles, 11-15 in dual matches and 8-11 against Pac-10 opponents... Her best performance of the season came at the Pac-10 Indoor Championships where she advanced to the finals with wins over Mariko Fritz-Krockow of UCLA and Amelia Anderson of Stanford before falling to Sarah Pestieau of Stanford in the championship match... During the regular season, she began by playing at the No. 4 position but endured a six-match losing streak in March... Moving to No. 5, she won four of her last eight matches, including a 6-1, 6-2 win over Cal's Sekita Grant to end the regular season... She captured two victories at the Pac-10 Singles Invitational to advance to the Quarterfinals before falling to Nicole Havlicek of Cal... In doubles, Bayani began the season with partner Anita Loyola and the pair posted a 4-3 record... In February, Bayani teamed with Maureen Diaz for a 12-14 mark... Diaz and Bayani fell in the second round of the Pac-10 Doubles Invitational after receiving a bye in the first.

    Bayani is a 2000 graduate of Sierra Summit Academy in Simi Valley, Calif. ... Ranked No. 18 in the 2000 USTA Girls under-18 national standings after holding the No. 2 spot in 1999 ... In the Southern California Girls under-18 division, she ranked fifth ... Reached the quarterfinals of the 1999 sectional championships, advancing to the national competition where she finished among the top four ... In 1992, she won the Junior Sectional Championships and become the No. 1 player in the 12-and-under division ...
