Complete Results

The USC women's swim team, behind pair of wins each from juniors Rachael Waller and Rebecca Soni, defeated host UC Santa Barbara, 109-94, on Saturday (Jan. 12). Troy improved to 4-2 on the season.

The Women of Troy opened the meet with a win in the 400y medley relay as juniors Kristen Lahey and Soni, senior Emily Goetsch and Waller won in 3:48.95.

Senior Brittany Allen took first in the 1000y free (10:15.95) and sophomore teammate Kristina Rigterink was third (10:34.91).

Waller (1:52.09) and Goetsch (1:53.08) next went 1-2 in the 200y free and senior Kate Polich followed with a second in the 50y free (24.62)

Soni won the 200y IM in 2:05.72 while Waller took first in the 200y fly in 2:03.18 with Hartwell third (2:05.63).

Sophomore Whitney Stephenson breezed to a win in the 200y back (2:02.73) while Polich took second in the 100y free (53.09) with Lahey third (53.39).

Senior Whitney Hentzen cruised to first in the 500y free (4:53.90) while freshman Ellie Doran took second (5:02.72).

Soni came back with her second win, easing to victory in the 200y breast (2:16.81) while senior Lindsay Warren was fourth (2:26.39).
