    THIS SEASON: A strong freestyler across the board, 2009 senior Rachael Waller is a three-time NCAA Championships participant and a returning All-American. A versatile swimmer also talented in the fly, she is USC's top returning swimmer in the 200y free and is also a key on relays.

    2008: Waller, as a 2008 junior, raced at the NCAA Championships for the third year in a row, earning All-Americans as the anchor on USC's eighth-place 400y medley relay. She also swam in the 100y and 200y free and on Troy's 200y medley, 400y free and 800y free relays. Her time in the 100y free (50.10) was a personal best ... At the 2008 Pac-10 Championships, Waller was 12th in the 200y free (1:47.93) and 21st in the 100y free (50.53) ... Against Ohio State in the fall, she established a personal best in the 200y free (1:47.26) and the 200y fly (2:00.12) ... She later lowered her personal best in the 100y free (50.24) and the 500y free (4:48.02) at the Husky Invitational and then did the same in the 100y fly (54.83) at the Pac-10s ... Waller was part of USC's 400y medley relay that set a USC pool record (3:40.16) against Cal in February and that finished second at Pac-10s (3:35.45) ... She earned 2008 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honors .... At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, Waller was 70th in the 100m fly (1:01.66) and 89th in the 100m free (57.81).

    2007: Waller raced in the 200y and 500y free for the second year in a row at the 2007 NCAA Championships and also competed in all five of the Trojan relays ... At the 2007 Pac-10 Championships, Waller was 19th in the 500y free (4:51.47), 35th in the 200y free (1:51.67) and 42nd in the 100y free (53.60) ... Her Pac-10 exhibition swim in the 50y free (23.50) was a personal best ... At the 2007 U.S. Summer Nationals, she swam in the 100m fly.

    2006: Waller was among a strong freshman class that made its debut at the 2006 NCAA Championships as she raced in the 100y, 200y and 500y free ... She competed in the same trio of races at the Pac-10 Championships, highlighted by an 11th-place in the 200y free (1:48.46). She was 17th in the 500y free in a personal best 4:49.07 ... She also swam at the 2006 U.S. Spring Nationals in four events, topped by a 42nd-place finish in the 100m free.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Waller of Liberty (Mo.) High is a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and four-time Missouri Valley Swimming All-Academic team member. A five-year veteran of the KC Blazer national team, she was a four-time 200 free Central Sectional winner and was the high-point runner up each year ... Waller was a member of the National Honor Society and her student council, was a two-year PTSA Co-President, earned her school's Academic Achievement award three years and won the USAA National Science Merit Award.

    PERSONAL: She was born Dec. 18, 1986 ... She is a psychology major ... Her uncle Bart Evans pitched for the Kansas City Royals.
