USC junior Angela Williams ran a wind-aided 11.01 to place third in the 100 meters on Friday at the USA National Championships held in Eugene, Ore.
Chryste Gaines was first with a time of 10.89, followed by Kelli White in 10.93. Former Trojans Torri Edwards (11.09) and Inger Miller (11.18) were fourth and seventh, respectively.
Williams, the three-time NCAA 100-meters champ, actually led at 60 meters before being overtaken by Gaines and White.
Williams will go on to represent the United States at the World Championships August 3-12 in Edmonton, Canada.
Senior-to-be Kevin Elliot had a stellar championships as well, finishing an unexpected sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:48.74.
