2007: Kaes Van't Hof served as team captain, playing primarily at the No. 3 singles position and at No. 1 or No. 2 in doubles with Robert Farah... Posted a 30-8 overall singles record, going 19-3 in dual matches... Finished the year ranked No. 63 following an appearance in the NCAA Singles Championships... Ended ranked No. 43 in doubles with Farah, posting a 22-7 overall record and going 17-5 in dual matches... Twice selected Pac-10 Player of the Week... Named to All-Pac-10 Second Team... 2006: Van't Hof played primarily at the No. 2 and 3 singles positions... Went 7-2 at No. 2 on the way to a 12-9 dual match record and a 20-16 overall singles mark... Was 10-7 in doubles play with Jeff Kazarian and also paired with Dejan Cvetkovic (1-1), Whit Livingston (5-1), Garrett Snyder (1-0) and Chong Wang (1-1)... Was 3-0 at the No. 2 slot with Livingston and 3-0 at the No. 3 slot with Kazarian... Won his first-round match at the Pac-10 Tournament with a victory over No. 67 Chris Surapol of UCLA... 2005: In his freshman year, Van't Hof compiled the team's best singles and doubles records... Primarily playing in the No. 4 (8-3) and No. 5 (6-5) positions, he racked up a 22-15 season singles record and a 21-14 season doubles record... Tallied a 9-2 streak throughout the month of March and April... Boasted a 6-1 record in Pac-10 play and advanced to the quarterfinals at the 2005 Pac-10 Championship tournament... Teamed up with Jeff Kazarian (4-0) to clinch the Pac-10 Championship Invitational Title... Paired up with Jarryd Cooper (7-4) to compete in the No. 3 position for the team in dual matches... PERSONAL: Kaes Matthew Van't Hof was born on August 1, 1986, in Newport Beach, Calif. ... The son of Robert and Betsy Van't Hof, he has one sister, Elizabeth, and one brother, Robert... Both parents graduated from USC (Robert `80, Betsy `83)... His father was a three-year letterwinner (1978-80) on the Trojan men's tennis team and the 1980 NCAA Singles Champion... A three-time singles All-American and two-time doubles All-American, Robert was inducted into the ITA Hall of Fame in 2003... Kaes is a business and accounting major who would like to either play professional tennis or enter the business world following graduation.
