Mark Warkentin, a four-time All-American at USC who graduated in 2002, won the 25K on the final day of the 2006 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships on Tuesday (June 6) in Fort Myers Beach, Fla.

Warkentin, swimming for Santa Barbara Swim Club, finished in 5:01:34.

Warkentin, who won four World University Game gold medals in 1999 was also third in the 5K and 10K, finishing three seconds off the pace in the latter race.
