    THIS SEASON: Excellent in the medley as well as the breast and fly, 2005 senior All-American co-captain Paul Fahey was a 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials finalist and will be relied on as a major point-scorer for the Trojans. Fahey is USC's sixth-fastest Trojan ever in the 400y IM (3:46.16) and the ninth-fastest ever in the 200y breast (2:00.34)

    2004: Fahey maintained his steady improvement as a 2004 junior, breaking through at the NCAA Championships to earn his first ever All-American honor with a sixth-place effort in the 400m IM (4:14.57). He also competed in the 200m breast and 200m IM and swam on the 400m medley relay ... For the second consecutive season, Fahey was third in the 400y IM at the Pac-10 Championships, doing it in 3:46.15. He was also 10th in the 200y IM and 11th in the 1650y free ... At the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials, Fahey reached the final of the 400m IM, taking eighth (4:19.18).

    2003: Fahey made his NCAA Championships point-scoring debut as a 2003 sophomore, winning the consolation final race in the 400y IM (3:48.20). He was also 39th in the 200y IM (1:50.68) ... At the 2003 Pac-10s, Fahey was third in the 400y IM (3:46.95), eighth in the 200y IM (1:48.63) and 10th in the 200y breast (2:01.29) ... At the 2003 U.S. Spring Nationals, Fahey was 17th in the 400m IM (4:32.63) and 37th in both the 200m IM (2:10.73) and the 200m breast (2:24.63) ... At the Summer Nationals, he reached the finals of the 400m IM, taking seventh in (4:28.45). He was also 18th in the 200m IM (2:05.66) and 33rd in the 200m breast (2:21.86).

    2002: As a 2002 freshman, Fahey competed in three events at the 2002 NCAAs. He was 27th in the 200y breast (2:00.34), 28th in the 400y IM (3:54.53) and 42nd in the 200y IM (1:50.77). He also swam in the consolation final of the 200y medley relay, swimming the breaststroke leg as USC took 16th ... At the 2002 Pac-10s, Fahey finalled in both the 400y IM (3:50.96) and the 200y breast (2:01.10), taking seventh in both. He was also ninth in the 200y IM (1:49.50) ... His 2:00.34 in the prelims of the 200y breast at NCAAs was the second best on the team last year ... At the 2002 U.S. Summer Nationals, he was 14th in the 400m IM (4:29.79), 23rd in the 200m IM (2:06.77) and 28th in the 200m breast (2:21.76).

    HIGH SCHOOL: Fahey was an All-American swimmer as a junior (2000) and a senior (2001) at Interlake High in Bellevue, Wash., earning state 3-A Swimmer-of-the-Year honors last season ... He earned his All-American honors in the 200y IM and 100y breast ... Fahey also was named state MVP in water polo as a senior and earned all-state first team honors as a junior ... At the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials, Fahey was 50th in the 400m IM (4:37.25), 64th in the 200m IM (2:14.07) and 68th in the 200m breast (2:27.92).
