    Ley played in 13 tournaments as a junior and his 73.13 stroke average was third lowest on the team ... His best finish and lowest 54-hole score was when he tied for third to lead all Trojans at the Jerry Pate Invitational (206) ... He finished tied for 25th at the Pac-10 Championships (289) and at the NCAA Championships Regional (215) and was 72nd at the NCAA Championships final ... Ley earned All-Pac-10 second-team honors.

    2003-2004:
    Ley played in five tournaments for the Trojans as a sophomore, finishing fifth on the squad with a stroke average of 73.56 ... He shot his lowest 54-hole score at The Nelson Intercollegiate (212), while finishing tied for 18th ... His best finish came at the Cleveland Golf Classic, where he tied for 14th while playing as an individual ... Finished tied for 24th at the Pac-10 Championships (301).

In August, he tied for fourth at the AJGA Legendary San Diego tournament.
