    THIS SEASON: An athletic and quick 6-foot, 175-pound point guard, 2004 freshman Quinton Day is a first-year Trojan whose perimeter skills and know-how for the game figure to give him an opportunity to earn playing time right away.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Day averaged 20.2 points, 5.0 assists, 6.0 steals and 3.2 rebounds as a 2003 senior guard, leading Paseo Academy (Kansas City, Mo.) to a 26-4 record and a second-place finish in Missouri Class 4 ... Earned All-State first team honors and was named the Kansas City Star's All-Metro boys' Player of the Year, won the DiRenna Award given to the city's MVP and was MVP of the Interscholastic Conference ... Listed among the top 20 prep point guards in the country by Athlon Sports and Insider Hoops and was listed No. 68 overall by Prepstar and No. 78 by Basketball Times.

    As a junior in 2002, averaged 20.0 points and 5.0 assists, earning All-State first team and Insterscholastic Conference MVP honors as well as the DiRenna Award as the city's MVP ... He was an All-State second teamer as a sophomore in 2001.
