    2002: After starting at third base in 2001, Moon was the starting shortstop in his 2002 sophomore season and batted .336 (80-for-238) with eight home runs, 60 RBI and 12 stolen bases...earned All-Pac-10 honorable mention and All-West Region first team honors...had a 12-game hitting streak snapped on April 28 vs. Arizona...registered five-RBI games twice (May 19 at Arizona State with a 3-for-5 performance, two doubles and a home run, and April 27 vs. Arizona, 4-for-4 with a double and home run)...went 8-for-15 at the Washington State series (April 19-21) with a double and six RBI...had an 8-for-12 series against California (March 28-30) with a double and three RBI...recorded a 4-for-5 day on March 30 against California....went 4-for-4 with three RBI on Feb. 10 at Long Beach State.

    2001: Moon was the starting third baseman in his 2001 freshman season, committing only six errors...batted .313 with 6 HR, 35 RBI and 11 stolen bases...started in 62 of 64 games...his first hit at the College World Series was a solo home run on June 9 against Georgia...hit a dramatic game-winning, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth on May 26 against Pepperdine for the 4-3 win at the NCAA Regional...named NCAA Regional Most Outstanding Player after going 7-for-13 (.538) with a triple, home run and five RBI...went 3-for-4 with three RBI on May 25 against Oral Roberts at the NCAA Regional where he also stole home during the game...hit home runs in back-to-back games on May 15 vs. Long Beach State and May 18 at Oregon State...recorded three three-hit games (April 23 vs. San Francisco, March 6 vs. UC Riverside and Feb. 3 vs. Louisville)...stole two bases on April 6 vs. Arizona State and March 19 in the first game of a doubleheader at Washington...went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and two RBI on Feb. 3 vs. Louisville).

    HIGH SCHOOL: He was named most valuable player of the Mt. Baldy League in 2000 at Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) High as a shortstop...earned All-CIF honors and was named All-Mt. Baldy League three times...earned all-county honors in his junior and senior seasons...also played wide receiver and free safety on the football team...named All-CIF in his junior and senior season with the football team...member of the honor roll all four years.
