Stanford, Calif. - Freshman sprinter Wes Felix ran 21.57 into a 4.2 mile-per-hour headwind on Saturday to win the 200m at the 2002 U.S. Junior Track and Field Championships held at Stanford Stadium.

Felix, who was an All-American for the Trojans this year in the 400m relay, beat a field that included Ivory Williams (previous best 20.3) and Matt Bruno (the 2002 California State 200m champ).

Felix, one of the better young sprinters around, had a best of 20.93 in the 200m and 10.48 in the 100m during his freshman year.
