USC junior high jumper Jesse Williams was named the Pac-10 Field Athlete of the Week for his performance in last Saturday's (April 30) dual meet against UCLA.

Williams, the 2005 NCAA indoor champion in the high jump, set a meet record with a conference-leading mark of 7-5 in winning the high jump. He also placed second in the long jump against the Bruins with a mark of 24-1. Both marks were personal bests for Williams.
