    THIS YEAR: Senior Ahmad Rashad established himself as one of the Trojans' all-time great Trojan sprinters last season and sets his sights on the school record this season.

    2009: Had an outstanding junior season, culminating with a second-place finish in the 100m dash at the NCAAs on June 12 tying for the fourth-fastest 100m time in school history of 10.10 and earning All-America honors. He also twice posted a 10.13 time which captured the 100m title at the NCAA West Regional (meet record) and at the Pac-10 Championships, where he also claimed the 200m title with a time of 20.82. He also ran the second leg for USC's 4x100m relay team which posted a time of 39.89 to place second at the Pac-10s and a time of 39.88 to capture the NCAA West title. That relay team posted a season-best time of 39.59 in winning at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 2. He also won the 200m dash at the Dual Meet with a season-best time of 20.74.

    2008: Battled a hamstring injury all season and made a splash in his season debut at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet, setting a then PR of 10.26 in the 100m and running a leg in USC's winning 4x100m relay. For good measure, he added a second place in the 200m with a time of 20.97. Unfortunately, that was the first and last day he was healthy. At the Pac-10 Championships, he blazed to a 10.43 time to win the preliminaries, but pulled up at the finish line and had to pull out of the competition. He attempted to run at the West Regional, but could only run a 10.69 time and did not advance to the finals.

    2007: Enjoyed a fantastic freshman season as he placed eighth in the 200m dash at the NCAA Championships held in Sacramento, Calif. to earn All-America honors. He was also named the Pac-10 Track and Field Newcomer of the Year. Placed seventh in the 200m race at the NCAA West Regional in Eugene, Ore. with a time of 21.47 and was part of USC's winning 4x100m relay team with a season-best time of 39.50. Was a three-time winner at the Pac-10 Championships at Stanford from May 12-13, winning the 100m with a wind-aided time of 10.20, the 200m with a PR of 20.56 and the second leg of the 4x100m relay team which was victorious with a time of 39.66...he became the second consecutive Trojan to take the conference sprint double as Philip Francis won both the 100m and 200m dashes at the 2006 conference championship. Rashad also won the 100m (PR of 10.33), 200m (21.04) and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet no April 28 won by the Trojans.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Slowed by an injured hamstring during his senior season...Won the Nike Indoor Sprint Title by running a 6.73 60m dash, the year's fastest by a prep...As a junior at Carman-Ainsworth High in Flint, Mich, he led his team to the Div. I state title...Has a 21.02 legal 200m time and a 20.73 wind-aided time...Also has a legal best of 10.52 in the 100m and a wind-aided time of 10.37...Was a High School All-American.

    PERSONAL: Ahmad was born on Dec. 12, 1987 in Flint, Mich...Likes to play video games and walk on the beach in his spare time...Favorite musical artist is Ludacris...Is a Real Estate Development major at USC...is joined by his brother Jahmar on the team.
