    THIS YEAR: Senior Philip Francis enters the season as one of the top sprinters in the Pac-10 in 2006 and a key member of USC's squad.

    2005: Francis ran a career best of 10.24 in the 100m on April 30 vs. UCLA...The time is .01 short of qualifying for USC's all-time top 10. Also ran a career best in the 200m with a time of 20.93 on April 30...helped the Trojans' 4x100m relay team finish fourth at the NCAAs.

    2004: He had bests of 10.35 in the 100m and 20.94 in the 200m as a sophomore...He won the NCAA West Regional 100m in 10.45...At the Pac-10s, he was sixth in 10.46 and fifth in the 200m (21.06)...Ran his 10.35 at the Texas Relays and his 20.94 at the UCLA dual meet ...Was dinged up at the NCAAs and did not advance past the first round of the 100m prelims.

    2003: As a freshman, Francis was the anchor leg on USC's winning 400m relay that captured the NCAA West Regional crown in 40.05... Also ran anchor at the NCAAs, where the Trojans ran a season-best 39.75, but did not qualify for the finals...Ran 10.39 unattached at the Trojan Invitational.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Francis won the 2001 California state 100m championship with a time of 10.53...He was also the 2001 100m and 200m champ at the Mt. Sac Relays in the Boys Division.

    PERSONAL: Philip was born on April 26, 1983 in Los Angeles...He is an American Studies major at USC.
