CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Rhode Island senior Kelly Gurney finished third in the all-around, while freshman Ananda Fraser tied for second on vault to lead the Rams in a five-team meet, Friday, hosted by North Carolina.

The host Tar Heels won the meet with a team score of 194.300, followed by Towson (193.500), George Washington (193.225), the Rams (190.725) and William & Mary (189.225).

Gurney totaled her second-highest all-around total of the season with a 38.875 score. She tied for fifth on balance beam with a season-high 9.725, and was awarded the identical score on vault to tie for eighth, and on floor exercise to finish seventh.

Senior Erica Heaney tied for second with a season-high 9.825 on uneven parallel bars, while senior Casey Pereira was credited with a 9.700 on balance beam to tie for ninth.

The Rams next head to Cornell on March 31 for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, starting at 12:00 p.m.
