Men's Track
Todd Linder joins the Rhode Island men's track & field coaching staff after spending the previous four years as the associate head coach at Sacred Heart University. A USA Track and Field Level I-certified coach - Level II Certified in jumps, combined events, and throws and Level III Advanced Certified in throws and jumps - he coached the Pioneers' first NCAA All-American as well as seven NCAA automatic regional/junior qualifiers in the 100m and 200m. In total, Linder coached 35 All-New England, 13 NCAA automatic, 10 All IC4A/ECAC, and five USA Junior Outdoor Championship qualifiers. Twenty-five of his athletes had broken school records for indoor/outdoor men's and women's throws, jumps and multi-events. From 2005-07, Linder's student-athletes captured two Northeast Conference Most Valuable Performer awards, four NEC Men's Outstanding Field Performer awards, and two NEC Rookie of the Meet awards. Linder served as the head track & field coach at West Stokes H.S. in King, N.C. from 1999-2001. He was named conference Coach of the Year on two occasions, guiding numerous All-State honorees in cross country and track & field. He received his associate's degree in mechanical drafting and design from Alamance Community College in 1988, and his bachelor's degree in technology with a concentration in Engineering from Appalachian State University in 1992. In 2001, Linder earned his master's degree in technology education at North Carolina A&T. Linder resides in Charlestown R.I. |
