Kevin Clark enters his fifth season with the Rams and 26th in the coaching ranks. The veteran coach joined the Rhode Island staff on Aug. 4, 2004 after serving as interim head coach at St. John's.

The Stamford, Conn., native joined the coaching ranks in 1982 and has worked at five different schools.

The associate head coach for the Red Storm from 1998-03, he helped lead St. John's to a 114-78 (.594) record and the 2003 NIT crown. Clark was elevated to interim head coach on Dec. 20, 2003 and coached St. John's for the remainder of the 2003-04 season.

Prior to St. John's, Clark was an assistant coach at George Washington from 1993-97. The Colonials compiled a 78-45 (.634) record - including the best record in school history (24-9) during the 1997-98 season. Under Clark, GW captured two Atlantic 10 championships and earned two NCAA tournament bids.

Prior to working at George Washington, Clark was an assistant at Fairfield from 1991-94. From 1987-91, he was the head coach at his alma mater, Clark University. He guided the Cougars to the 1988 NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championship, compiling a 20-7 record. He was an assistant at Clark from 1984-87, serving double duty as head men's and women's track coach.

Clark began his coaching career at Holy Cross, serving as an assistant coach for the Crusaders in 1982-83.

He was a three-time All-American standout at Clark and still holds school records for rebounds (1,447), rebounding average (14.4) and field goal percentage, connecting on 60 percent for his career. Clark is also the school's fourth all-time leading scorer with 1,605 points. On Jan. 28, 1995, he was enshrined into the Clark Athletic Hall of Fame. He earned his bachelor's degree in sociology in 1981.

In Sept. 2003, Clark was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.

Clark and his wife, Robin, are the parents of two children, a son, Korey, and a daughter, Kyla.
