Colin Russell joined the Rhode Island staff in January of 2007. He currently serves as a Development Associate in the Athletic Development office. His responsibilities include donor stewardship and benefit fulfillment, coordination of special events such as the annual auction, pre-game receptions, and golf outings.

He came to URI after spending the previous two and half years as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Development and Athletic Marketing offices at The Ohio State University. While earning a master's degree in Sports Management he developed marketing plans, advertising calendars, sponsorship agreements and promotional schedules for various athletic teams. He also contributed to group, corporate and sponsorship sales for such sports as women's volleyball, men's ice hockey and baseball. Colin also worked closely with the development staff to help coordinate events and identify/solicit new donors to Ohio State Athletics. He was responsible for coordinating football pre-game activities for major corporate sponsors and donors.

A native of Montvale, NJ, Russell majored in Marketing at Providence College where he earned a B.S. in 2004.
