Jodi Pontbriand joined the Rhode Island staff in the summer of 2006. She currently serves as the contact for: men's soccer, women's basketball, women's tennis and baseball.

She came to URI after spending the previous two years as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Media Relations office at Providence College. While earning a master's degree in Business Administration, she worked specifically with the women's soccer and tennis teams and also assisted with game-day operations for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, softball and men's lacrosse.

A native of Auburn, Maine, Pontbriand was a double-major at Johnson & Wales University, where she earned degrees in Travel/Tourism Marketing and Sports/Entertainment/Event Management.
