Lindsay Boots comes from Lisbon, Connecticut and received her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut in May 2007. While at the University of Connecticut, she worked with the men's soccer team, the men's and women's track and field teams, the field hockey team, and assisted with general training room coverage for all teams. As a student athletic trainer for the University of Connecticut she also worked with the Trinity College football team and worked at Tolland High School assisting with all sport coverage. While attending the University of Connecticut, Lindsay participated in the ongoing research field and assisted with several studies. Two of the studies she was heavily involved with were on the validity of several body temperature devices, one on the field in the heat and the other in a heat chamber. These studies were published in the Journal of Athletic Training in 2006. Beginning her first year at the University of Rhode Island, she will be working with the football team and assisting with other sport coverage. She plans to use the experience and valuable knowledge she gains to further her career goals in the athletic training field and the health and fitness industry. |
