UNLV: Begins his first year with the Rebels ... named a Notable Newcomer by Golfweek ... he was the 16th-ranked player in the Golfweek junior rankings when he signed to play at UNLV.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Lake Mary High School in Lake Mary, Fla. ... earned three varsity letters ... attended Mount Hedron High School in Ellicott City, Md., his freshman year ... his Lake Mary team was a two-time 2A Florida state champion (2004 and 2005) and he was the individual 2A Florida state champion in 2005 and 2006 ... he was a two-time AJGA All-American (honorable mention) in 2004 and 2006 ... he won the 2004 Big I Classic in Ardmore, Okla.
PERSONAL: Ji Ho Moon was born Aug. 28, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea ... the son of Young and Sun Moon ... has an older brother, Sung ... major is undeclared.
KNIGHT ON MOON: "Ji was one of the top-ranked juniors in the country when we signed him. He is a big, strong young man and has gotten a lot bigger physically over the summer. He is growing into his swing and with that much physical growth, he is balancing that out right now. He will add a lot to our program over the years. He is a good player."
