2001-02: Played in 30 rounds and 10 tournaments, including the teams last seven ... Shot a 222 at the Tucker Intercollegiate to finish tied for 29th in his debut ... Tied for ninth at the rain-shortened Kepler Intercollegiate just two weeks before carding a runner-up finish at the Mountain West Conference Championship ... Fired a then-career low 70 in the final round of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas, but bested that round with a 69 at the NCAA West Regional.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 honors graduate of St. Stephens High School in Bradenton, Fla.
Attended school there for one year while studying at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, which also produced former Rebel Calvin Kupeyan
Collected three wins and finished as the district runner-up as a senior
Attended Holy Trinity School in Richmond Hill, Ont., for three years
A four-time provincial champ, with victories at the Bantum and Juvenile levels and two as a Junior, who is still the only golfer in the history of Ontario to win all three ... Was named his schools MVP in every season
Carded a tournament-record 65 in the first round at the 1999 U.S. Junior Championship in York, Pa.
Played on the Canadian Junior National team that played in the World Junior Championship in Tokyo, Japan last summer
Lettered four times in hockey and soccer.

KNIGHT ON DEACON: JC is a strong man loaded with talent and one of the hardest-working players Ive ever had. He puts a lot into improving himself physically, on the golf course and in the classroom, and I think that hard work will pay off for him this year.
