COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- Senior outside hitters Dani Nyenhuis and Camilla Ihenetu were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East Region team, the organization announced Tuesday evening. Nyenhuis, the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year, was named to the first team, while Ihenetu, a second-team All-ACC selection, received honorable mention accolades.

The duo led the team in kills, as Ihenetu finished the season with 471 while Nyenhuis was right behind with 468. They were also second and fourth in digs, as Nyenhuis finished with 427 while Ihenetu tallied 284.

This marks the 12th consecutive season that the Tar Heels have placed at least one player on the all-region teams.

Carolina, the ACC Champions, finished its season with a 23-10 record, earning the most overall wins since 2002's 32-4 campaign. The Tar Heels also compiled an 18-4 league record, establishing a new ACC and school record for conference wins in a season.
