North Carolina Defeats Clemson 3-2
Oct. 25, 2003 Clemson, S.C. - North Carolina survived a scare from Clemson, as the Tar Heels defeated the Tigers 3-2. The final score was 22-30, 30-21, 30-23, 26-30, 15-9. Sophomore outside hitter Dani Nyenhuis had 22 kills and 22 digs to lead UNC to victory. Carolina is now 16-8 on the season and 7-3 in the ACC. Junior outside hitter Molly Pyles had 17 kills and 23 digs, while freshman outside hitter Meg Eckert had 13 kills and a career high of seven blocks. Junior middle hitter Katie Wright had 14 kills, including a string of four straight in the 5th and decisive game. Senior Aletha Green had a career high nine blocks to go along with seven kills.
The Tar Heels next will host N.C. State on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Carmichael Auditorium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
