Listen to the Carolina Volleyball Podcast - Head Coach Joe Sagula

North Carolina will try to build on its first Atlantic Coast Conference road win of the season this weekend with matches at Georgia Tech and Clemson. Carolina (4-12, 2-5 ACC) takes on the Yellow Jackets Friday night at 7 and the Tigers Saturday night at 6. Georgia Tech is 8-8 overall, 0-6 in the ACC, while Clemson is 10-4, 5-1 in league play.

The Tar Heels swept all four matches against the Yellow Jackets and the Tigers in 2005, highlighted by a three-game sweep of Georgia Tech on national television. UNC defeated Georgia Tech, 30-23, 30-28, 30-10, on CSTV prior to the annual Late Night basketball festivities. The Tar Heels dropped just one game in the four matches played last season.

Georgia Tech is led offensively by Ulrike Stegemann and Talisa Kellogg. Stegemann averages 2.95 kills per game and is hitting .328 for the season. Kellogg is ninth in the league in kills, averaging 3.51 per frame. Abby Showers anchors the defense with a team-high 3.68 digs per game.

Clemson is led by sophomores Danielle Hepburn and Jeannette Abbott. Hepburn is the league's top hitter with a .371 attack percentage and she averages 1.63 blocks per game. Abbott leads the ACC with 4.41 kills per game.
