June 12, 2004

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Tar Heel women's junior tennis player Aniela Mojzis was officially named a first-team All-America Saturday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for her singles play during the 2004 season. Mojzis, a junior from Cape Town, South Africa, capped the campaign with a ranking of No. 18 in the ITA singles rankings.

The UNC team, which reached the second round of the NCAA Championship and was seeded 14th in the Tournament, finished the year ranked in a tie for No. 16 in the team rankings under first-year head coach Brian Kalbas.

UNC's top doubles team, consisting of Mojzis and junior Kendall Cline of Dallas, Texas, finished the season rated No. 22 by the ITA.

Carolina will return seven of nine letter winners from this year's team in 2004-05.
