Tar Heel Seniors Fall In NCAA Doubles Tournament

ATHENS, Ga. - North Carolina women's tennis players Kendall Cline and Aniela Mojzis ended their collegiate careers Wednesday afternoon as they fell in the round of 16 in the NCAA doubles championships at Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The fifth-ranked tandem lost to VCU's Olga Borisova and Marianna Yuferova 6-2, 6-4. Borisova and Yuferova are ranked 24th in the polls.

Cline and Mojzis finish the season 32-9 overall and 23-8 in dual-match play. The tandem was ranked in the ITA top 15 the entire 2005 season. The pair is a two-time All-America (2003 and 2005).

This year marked the third straight time that the tandem has received a bid to play in the NCAA doubles champsionships.
