Women's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina women's soccer team will play a challenging schedule of spring exhibition games highlighted by an opening match against the defending champion of the Women's United Soccer Association, the Carolina Courage, on March 22.

Coach Anson Dorrance's defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Tar Heels will open against the Courage on Saturday. March 22. The game will be played at SAS Stadium in Cary, N.C. Game time is 7 p.m.

UNC will travel to Germantown, Md. to play exhibition matches agains Tennessee and Navy on Sunday, March 30. The Tennessee game begins at 8 a.m. and the Navy match at 2 p.m.

Carolina and the other seven ACC schools will gather in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday, April 12 to play a day-long series of exhibition matches against each other.

UNC will close out the spring season by playing the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA on Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. in Atlanta.
