Five Tar Heels Named To Soccer Times All-America Teams

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Five members of the University of North Carolina women's soccer team, led by senior midfielder Lori Chalupny, were named Thursday to the 2005 Soccer Times Division I Women's Soccer All-America teams.

Chalupny was named to the first team and she finished as a consensus first team choice, earning honors on the first team from the NSCAA, Soccer Buzz, Soccer America and Soccer Times.

Two Tar Heels were named to the second-team All-America squad - junior forward Heather O'Reilly and senior forward Lindsay Tarpley.

Two more UNC players were tapped for the third-team All-America squad named by Soccer Times. Senior midfielder Kacey White and senior defender Kendall Fletcher were named to the third team.
