Tar Heels to Host UMBC on Thursday at 4 p.m.

May 6, 2002

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team, seeded No. 3 in the 2002 NCAA Tournament, will play Maryland-Baltimore County in the opening round on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Henry Stadium on the UNC campus.

Ticket prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens.

Carolina enters the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 15-2 and a 2-1 mark in the ACC. Should Carolina win on Thursday, it would set a new school record with its 16th victory of the season and would equal the school record with an 11-game winning streak.
