SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After splitting a pair of tough games at home, the USC Upstate women's basketball teams will hit the road for the first of four road games on Tuesday when they travel to Greensboro, N.C. for a 7 p.m. game at North Carolina A&T.

The Spartans, who enter the game 2-3 after a 59-56 win over Limestone on Saturday, have found an inside-out scoring duo in sophomore Courtney Hawkins and freshman Oceana Jackson. Hawkins, a 5-4 guard, averages 13.4 points and 2.0 steals per game and Jackson, a 6-0 forward, is averaging 13.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. The Spartans have two other players averaging more than eight points a game with freshman Tiffany Whiting averaging 8.8 points and hitting 2.1 3-pointers per game and junior Courtney Bradley averaging 8.0 points and 4.4 assists per game.

Head coach Patricia Cage-Bibbs has the Lady Aggies on a roll, as they are out to a 4-1 start, but that should be no surprise for the 23rd-year head coach. Bibbs recently won her 400th career game, an 88-62 victory over UNC Asheville on Friday, as she led the team to the UNC Greensboro tournament title. The team was picked to finish third in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll.

Spartan Notables

• This is USC Upstate's first game against an opponent from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
• USC Upstate is 6-2 all-time on Nov. 27, last beating Converse on Nov. 27, 2004, 87-73.
• Junior Courtney Bradley is five 3-pointers shy of becoming the fourth Spartan in school history to reach 100 in her career.
• Upstate posted a season-high 14 steals against Limestone.
• Bradley is 21 points away from becoming the 30th player in school history to reach 500 career points.
• Freshman Oceana Jackson has scored at least 10 points in each of her five games as a Spartan.
• Junior Ebony Johnson finished with six rebounds vs. Limestone, the fifth straight game she had at least five rebounds.
• Johnson is two steals shy of becoming the 50th player in school history to reach 50 in a career and sophomore Courtney Hawkins is four from the mark.
• Sophomore Shanea Wyant is five points shy of reaching 100 in her career.
• The Spartans' X-factor appears to be points off turnover, winning both games when scoring more off opponent miscues.
