SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate women's basketball team will look to end a four-game skid when it takes the court against Atlantic Sun leaders, Gardner-Webb, on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Hodge Center. Upstate used a resurgent offense to score 70 points on Saturday at Campbell as they fell to 4-10 overall and 0-2 in the A-Sun in the 84-70 loss. Sophomore Courtney Hawkins led the Spartans in the game, scoring a season-high 30 points, and raising her scoring average to a team-leading 13.1. Junior Courtney Bradley added four assists in the game to tie for third in school history with 318 career assists. The Bulldogs enter Monday night's game with a 7-9 overall record and a perfect 3-0 slate in the Atlantic Sun. Gardner-Webb is led by a solid inside-out duo in sophomore forward Margaret Roundtree and freshman guard Monique Hudson. Roundtree leads the Runnin' Bulldogs, averaging 13.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
