SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -
The UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team defeated UC Davis 5-2 Friday at UCSB's RecCen Courts. The Gauchos won the doubles point and four of the six singles points for the victory.
UCSB's No. 1 singles player Marielle Gruenig pulled out her match, defeating Davis' Ally Muller 5-7, 7-6, 10-4 in the final match of the day.
The Gauchos move to 9-11 overall. UCSB travels to Loyola Marymount Saturday and returns home Sunday to host Northern Arizona for the final regular season dual match.
