Junior first baseman Robbie Blauer was named the Golden1/ucsbgauchos.com Student-Athlete of the Week Monday after hitting .643 in last week's four-game homestand.

Against No. 20 Pepperdine on May 17, Blauer went 2-for-4 with one run scored, one RBI and a double in the Gauchos' 10-5 loss. The Huntington Beach, Calif., native continued to hit the ball well against UC Davis over the weekend. Blauer went 2-for-4 on Friday with a homerun, 3-for-3 Saturday, including two RBI and four runs scored, and capped the week off with a 2-for-3, two run performance on Sunday in the Gauchos' 20-5 victory.

Overall, Blauer finished the week with eight runs scored, four RBI, two doubles and is in the midst of a ten-game hit streak.
