Qualified for the 2007 NCAA Track & Field West Regional in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:02.47....was named to the 2007 All-Academic Track & Field Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association....finished 10th in the steeplechase and 13th in the 5,000 meters at the '07 Big West Conference Track & Field Championships....was 30th at the 2006 Big West Cross Country Championships....finished 24th at the '06 UCI Cross Country Invitational and 69th at the Stanford Invitational....placed 10th (3:58.39) in the 1,500 meters at the 2006 Big West Track & Field Championships....was seventh in his section (3:58.06) of the 1500 at the '06 Steve Scott Invitational....placed 32nd (25:30.0) over 8,000 meters at the 2005 Big West Conference Cross Country Championships....finished 91st at '05 NCAA West Regional with a time of 32:53.1 over 10,000 meters....was 20th at the Cal Poly Invitational and 24th at the UCI Invitational.... finished 10th in the 1500 at the 2005 Big West Track & Field Championships....was a two-time All-State and All-CIF runner at Desert Christian High School....earned All-Desert Mountain League honors three times and was league MVP....majoring in history....is a two-time Big West Scholar-Athlete....named to the Big West Academic All-Conference team for fall sports in 2005 and 2006....parents are Wayne and Julie Johnston. |
