UNT Cobb/Ferrell Mean Green Classic Results

LANTANA - Texas State's Tyler Barnes shot a one-under par 71 Tuesday to finish North Texas' Cobb/Ferrell Mean Green Classic tied for 21st place.

Barnes opened the tournament with a 79 Monday morning but rebounded to card a 73 during the second round of the opening day at the Lantana Country Club. Barnes' score led the Bobcat golfers.

As a team, Texas State shot a three-round score of 918 but after back-to-back scored of 309 Monday, the Bobcats had one of the top five rounds of the day on Tuesday. Still, the `Cats placed 14th in the first tournament of the fall.

Sam Houston State shot an 876, beating Jacksonville State by three strokes to win the team title while Arkansas State's Andrew Ross shot a 212 to win the individual championship.
