LAREDO - Texas State freshman Carson Gibson shot a two-round, even par 144 through the first two rounds of the Border Olympics competed Friday at the Laredo Country Club.

The tournament concludes with the final round Saturday morning.

Texas State is in 12th place as a team. The Bobcats shot a 291 team score for the second round and has carded a two-round score of 591.

Gibson shot a 71 during Friday's morning round then shot a 73 during the afternoon.
