With Texas State University-San Marcos classes closed on Tuesday, walk-on tryouts for Texas State's football team also slated for Tuesday have been postponed.

A new time and date for tryouts will be announced at a later date through this web site.

The University will be closed Tuesday because of icy roads and a continued winter storm warning. No classes will be held, and all offices will be closed except those involving emergency personnel.

Students, faculty and staff living in areas where travel advisories are in effect are encouraged to refrain from traveling.

There are no other athletic events slated for Texas State until Thursday when the Bobcat women's basketball team plays host to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi while the men travel to Corpus Christi to take on the Islanders.
