San Marcos - Senior pitcher Justin Fiske was named by the American Baseball Coaches Association to the All-South Central Region first team on Wednesday, June 13. He was in good company, being honored with Ryan Berry, Joe Savery of Rice for starting pitchers.

Eight Southland Conference players, including Fiske, were named to first and second teams. Steven Hill of Stephen F. Austin and Bobby Verbick and Luke Prihoda of Sam Houston State made the first team. Lamar's Michael Ambort, Erik Kanaby and Brian Sisk and McNeese State's Charlie Kingrey made second team.

The players are nominated and voted on by coaches in the South Central Region. Players on the first team will be part of the pool for All-American honors at the College World Series.
