Texas State's women's cross country team is ranked No. 13 regionally this week.

SAN MARCOS - Texas State's women's cross country team is ranked No. 13 in the latest NCAA Division I South Central Regional rankings.

The Bobcats are one of five Southland Conference teams ranked in the region which includes Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.

The University of Arkansas is ranked No. 1 in the region followed by Rice and Baylor. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is the top-ranked SLC program at No. 7. Other Southland teams ranked in the latest poll are Lamar (No. 9), Stephen F. Austin (No. 12) and Texas-Arlington (No. 14).

Texas State returns to action Saturday, traveling to the Texas Lutheran Invitational in Seguin.
