AUSTIN - Texas State sophomore Katya Kostetskaya placed fifth in the finals of the 400 meter hurdles at the 79th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday.

Kostetskaya, who qualified for the finals with a time of 58.99 in the prelims on Thursday, clocked a time of 57.79 in Saturday's finals. Texas' Melanie Walker won the event with a time of 54.87.

The Texas State 4x200 meter relay team of Dayne Grahmann, Adam Higginbotham, Justin Callis and Robert Gill placed eighth on Saturday. The Bobcat team finished in a time of 1:25.95.
