The University of Texas-Pan American women's basketball coach DeAnn Craft will be holding the 2007 UTPA All Out Hoops Basketball Camp at the UTPA Fieldhouse from June 29-July1 along with assistant coaches Keelah Wilson and LaQueisha Dickerson and members of the Lady Broncs basketball team.
With a squad of young, talented players, coach Craft guided her team to an 11-18 record in the 2006-07 campaign, including a 7-5 home record. The five-year coach led her team to 22nd ranking in defensive turnovers in the nation as the Lady Broncs finished second among all Division I Independent teams in scoring defense, holding their opponents to 60.1 points per game.
The UTPA All Out Hoops Basketball Camp will go from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, and will focus on improving all phases of the game, including station work on ball handling, passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, defense and footwork. The camp will cost $75 and all campers will participate in five-on-five competition and a Hustle Award will be given out to a camper each day. Discounted prices are available to UTPA faculty and staff at a cost of $50.
