Tulane outside hitter Sara Radosevic earned All-America honors for the second-straight season, picking up Honorable Mention accolades as the American Volleyball Coaches' Association announced its list of the top talent in college volleyball.

Radosevic, a sophomore from Zagreb, Croatia, is the first Tulane volleyball player to be named an All-America selection multiple times, duplicating her Honorable Mention status from last season. She was an AVCA First Team All-Midwest Region selection again this season, after earning the distinction (along with AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year honors) in 2005.

"Sara's desire to improve has helped her become one of the most decorated players at Tulane," head coach Liz Kritza said. "I'm extremely proud of Sara not only for her individual accomplishments, but because she recognizes that individual honors are a product of contributing to the overall program's success, a unique characteristic that is sometimes difficult to find in elite level players."

Radosevic led all sophomores in the NCAA in kills per game, and finished fifth overall at 5.50 KPG. The First-Team All-Conference USA pick finished with 495 kills in 90 games. She set Tulane's record for most kills in a four-game match with 32 kills against UTEP in the regular season finale. She now owns four of the top single-match kill marks in Tulane history (any number of games). She racked up 31 vs UNO on August 26 and 30 in the C-USA match against UAB.

"We will look for continual improvement from Sara," Kritza added. "With the proper work ethic, our young team will continue to grow and realize some of its full potential. As our seven sophomores become upperclassmen next season, I'm excited for the future success of this program."

Tulane will return 10 players from the 2006 team, including four All-Conference honorees: Radosevic, First Team All-Conference USA, Conference USA and AVCA All-Midwest Region Freshman of the Year Ksenija Vlaskovic; All C-USA Second Team members Jen Linder (sophomore middle blocker) and Jenn Miller (freshman libero).

Tulane finished the 2006 season with a record of 15-11, including a school-record 11-5 in Conference USA. The Green Wave placed tied for third in C-USA, the highest C-USA finish in school history. Tulane appeared on national television for the first time (a 3-2 win over defending C-USA champion Marshall) and tied the school record for single-season improvement in wins.
