NEW ORLEANS, La. - - Tulane Grace's Daley has earned All-America honors in each of the last three seasons. Now center Janell Burse can add her name to the impressive list as well, as both Daley and Burse were selected as All-Americans by the Women's Basketball Journal on Sunday.

Daley, the reigning Conference USA Player of the Year, was named as a second-team All-American by the WBJ, while Burse picked up fourth-team honors. The Women's Basketball Journal selected five teams by position, naming two guards, two forwards and a center for each team.

Tulane, ranked 21st in the latest Associated Press poll with a 24-6 record, was one of just four schools to have more than one player selected, as Tennessee, Connecticut and Penn State also had at least two selections. All three schools are also in the Top 6 in the most recent polls.

"This is a great honor for both players," Tulane head coach Lisa Stockton said. "Grace has gotten a lot of attention at the national level this year, and this just reinforces out belief that she is one of the top players in the country. Janell just had an absolutely incredible season this year. If there was an award for Most Improved Player in the nation, I think it would definitely go to her."

Daley leads Conference USA and is ranked eighth nationally in scoring, chipping in 21.3 points per game. A three-time first-team All-Conference USA pick, Daley has been named a finalist for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association/Kodak All-America team. She is also one of just 17 Division I seniors selected to play in the WBCA All-Star Challenge over Final Four weekend.

Burse was also a first-team All-Conference USA pick this season, and was named C-USA Tournament Most Valuable Player after leading the Green Wave to its second straight championship title. She is averaging 19.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest, while ranking among the national leaders in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and field goal percentage.

Daley and Burse will lead the Green Wave into the NCAA Tournament, as Tulane opens its sixth consecutive trip to the Big Dance with a first-round meeting against Vermont in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday.
