Feb. 1, 2001

NEW ORLEANS, La. - - The Tulane-Memphis women's basketball game on Feb. 16 will be televised locally in New Orleans, Tulane athletic director Rick Dickson announced on Friday.

The game will be broadcast by WHNO TV live at 7 p.m., and can be seen on Channel 20 in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes and on Channel 16 in St. Charles and St. Bernard Parishes. The contest will mark Tulane's fifth televised game this season.

"We're excited to have another game on television for our fans," head coach Lisa Stockton said. "We've enjoyed very loyal fan support over the last several seasons. Part of the success we have obtained is due to the large crowds we get at Fogelman Arena. Having this game on T.V. gives our fans another opportunity to come out and show their support of Tulane women's basketball."

Tulane can also be seen on television this weekend, as the Green Wave will face Conference USA rival DePaul on ESPN2. Tip-off for that contest is set for 4 p.m. CST on Sunday. Prior to Sunday's game, the Wave will meet Marquette on Friday in Milwaukee at 7 p.m.

The Marquette game can be heard on the radio, as the contest will be aired by WRBH, which is located at 88.3 on the FM dial in New Orleans. The game will also be broadcast on the internet at www.TulaneGreenWave.com.
