New Orleans - The 2007 edition of Conference USA Media Day kicks off this Monday from the Royal Sonesta Hotel in the heart of Bourbon Street, and will feature all 12 C-USA head football coaches and selected players from each program.

On Monday, Conference USA will host a youth football clinic for all kids ages 7-14. The clinic will be free of charge and will be held at the Willie Hall Playground, located at 1101 Milton Street, from 1:30 p.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m.

The clinic will feature instruction from Conference USA coaches and student-athletes, including Tulane head coach Bob Toledo, 2006 C-USA Coaches of the Year Art Briles of Houston, Todd Graham of Tulsa and others. Attendees will participate in tackling, quarterback and receiver drills, and there will also be a kicking contest as well as 40-yard and 100-yard dash contests. Student-athletes representing the Green Wave will be the senior duo of running back Matt Forte and strong safety Joe Goosby, junior offensive tackle Troy Kropog and redshirt-sophomore quarterback Anthony Scelfo.

During the late afternoon session, several radio stations from around the league, including Tulane's flagship station WIST AM 690, will broadcast their respective afternoon shows. WIST AM 690 will air from 12-5 p.m., and will feature Toledo, Britton Banowsky and various coaches and players from around the league.

On Monday evening beginning at 5:10 pm CT, College Sports Television (CSTV) will air a special two-and-a-half-hour, exclusive broadcast live from the Conference USA Football Media Day in New Orleans. The event can be accessed for free by clicking on the CSTV Media Blitz logo on the right side of Tulane's official athletic web site, TulaneGreenWave.com, or in the New Orleans market on the CSTV channel, which can be found on either DirecTV or DISH Network.

Hosted by Carter Blackburn and Brian Jones, the Conference USA Football Media Blitz will offer fans an inside look at C-USA football and preview the 2007 season, featuring interviews with all 12 head football coaches, two players from each team and C-USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky. The Tulane segment will begin at 6:55 p.m. Toledo will be joined on set by Forte and Goosby.

The actual media interview sessions begin Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m. and will conclude at noon.

Tulane opens the 2007 season on Saturday, Sept. 8, when the Green Wave takes on Mississippi State at 6 p.m. in the Louisiana Superdome.
