NEW ORLEANS -- Building on another strong practice, the Tulane football team continued to focus on its running game Tuesday afternoon as part of Spring drills.

"We continued to concentrate on the short yardage running game," said head coach Chris Scelfo. "I thought both sides really came ready to practice."

Much of Tuesday's two-hour practice session focused on third down and short yardage situations, as did the previous day's workout. Coach Scelfo feels that progress continues to be made each day.

"We are making progress in every way," said Scelfo. "We're really concentrating on the fundamentals and getting things done. It's good to see the type of enthusiasm that we're playing with right now."

Tulane continues spring practice through April 3. The Green Wave Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 1.
