NEW ORLEANS, La. - Only 400 tickets remain for Tulane University's men's basketball game on Saturday against the University of Memphis. Game time is 2 p.m. at 3,600-seat Fogelman Arena. Tickets can still be purchased by visiting the Tulane Box Office at the Wilson Center or by calling 504-861-WAVE.

"It is exciting for our players and coaching staff to see our fans getting excited about Tulane basketball," Tulane head coach Shawn Finney said. "To have a possible sell-out would be phenomenal for our program at this point. It should be a great atmosphere, because Fogelman is one of the best venues to watch college basketball in the country."

Tulane enters Saturday's game with a 9-4 record, following Tuesday's 69-66 loss to Houston. That game nearly went to overtime, but a three-pointer by Waitari Marsh was just after the buzzer, much to the disappointment of the 2,051 Green Wave fans in attendance.

Memphis, the preseason favorite in Conference USA, owns an 11-4 record entering a Wednesday night contest at TCU. The Tigers are led by senior big man Kelly Wise and highly-touted freshman DeJuan Wagner, who is second in the league in scoring.

The last sellout at Fogelman came during the 1996-97 season when 3,600 fans packed the house for the season finale against Louisville, an 83-71 victory. The Wave sold out the final seven games of that season.

The 3,011 fans that attended the Nov. 16 season-opener with Loyola were the most fans at a Tulane men's hoop game at Fogelman Arena since Jan. 20, 1998 when 3,279 witnessed a 60-50 loss to Cincinnati. Last year's Fogelman high was 2,238 vs. South Florida.

Following the Memphis game, the Wave will be on the road for a pair of games. The team plays at Southern Mississippi on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and then next Saturday at Conference USA newcomer TCU. The next home game will be Wednesday, Jan. 23 against South Florida.
