Tulane Athletics continues to reach out to its former student-athletes this January and February with alumni gatherings set for Green Wave men's and women's basketball, swimming and diving and baseball over the next month.

The second Tulane Basketball Alumni Weekend is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, January 8-9, 2005. The basketball alumni weekend, which includes former players from both the men's and women's teams, starts with a luncheon Saturday, while pregame receptions will be held before both the Tulane men's game with Marquette at 7 p.m. Saturday night and the women's game versus TCU at 2 p.m. Sunday. Alumni in attendance will be introduced at those respective games. The TCU game will be televised live on Cox Sports Television throughout Louisiana.

On Friday and Saturday, January 28-29, the Green Wave swimming and diving team will welcome its former team members back to campus. The reception on Friday, Jan. 28th will be held in the Tulane Athletics Hall of Fame Room in the James Wilson Center from 7-9 p.m., and the alumni are all invited to attend the Tulane-Rice swim meet in the Reily Recreation Center Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 29 beginning at 11 a.m. Later that evening, alumni will gather for dinner at Cannon's Restaurant on St. Charles Ave.

The annual Green Wave Baseball Alumni Weekend will take place February 4-5 in New Orleans and will begin Friday night with a reception at the home of head coach Rick Jones. On Saturday, a pair of alumni games will be held at Turchin Stadium, beginning with the "Old Timers" game at Noon. Following the introduction of all alumni, the 2005 Green Wave will take on the recent (last five years) alumni.

At all Tulane Alumni reunions, former student-athletes will be introduced either prior to the event or during a break in the action (halftime) and will be presented with a unique gift.

Tulane has an established special rate at the Radisson Hotel New Orleans good for any alumni attending Green Wave events. The rate, which is based on availability, is $69 and is available by calling 1-800-333-3333 and asking for "SPORT 01".
