New Orleans - The Tulane women's cross country team returns to action this Saturday as the Green Wave makes the short journey up to Baton Rouge for the 2006 LSU Tiger Cross Country Festival at Highland Road Park.

The meet, which will feature both collegiate and high school competition, will begin at 7:45 a.m. with the women's 6K run. The high school girls are next at 8:30 a.m., followed by the collegiate men (8K) at 9:15 a.m. and the boy's high school race at 10 a.m.

Tulane will join in-state rivals UL-Lafayette, LSU and Southeastern Louisiana among the 10-team field on the women's side.

In its last outing on Sept. 16, Tulane ran to the team title at the Southern Miss Invitational at Hattiesburg, Miss. The Green Wave placed runners among the top three finishers.
